Health, Structure, stability. These are the words that guild our program.

Health - We also do Genetic health screening to confirm our parent dogs do not have genetic ailments that they could pass on to their kids, we do a minimum of OFA eyes and hips, along with the genetic Test for SHPN1/SPS1. Health tested parents for healthy puppies. 

Structure - Structure and health go hand in hand. A dog that is built properly will live a longer healthier life with fewer issues then a dog that is not. When selecting breeding pairs we looked at what makes up each dog. Does the pair complement each other, we only pair together dogs what don't have overlapping faults, our goal is making each generation better then the last. 

Stability - A dog that has a stable temperament is key to having a happy home. When we select breeding pairs, we look at the temperaments of both parents. we want friendly, outgoing dogs. we want to produce dogs that are confident in new environments, and have quick problem solving skills.

What are else are our dogs known for?

Our dogs are also know for their high intelligence, smarts are something we breed for. While not as important as Health, Structure or Stability, we also will look at how smart a dog is when breeding. Being an active working kennel we know the importance of smarts as well, most of the dogs we have produced has the mental capacity to lead 8-14 dog teams. . 

All our dogs live in enclosures with their furry friends, they live in pairs or small groups. They get the opportunity to free run in large groups or run on the the sleds or cart every day.

All our dogs are also house broke and get to spend time inside watching tv or cuddling on the couch. As an active working kennel having correct winter coats makes being inside the house for long periods uncomfortable for the dogs. The dogs require this coat as we run the dogs in temps below -30 at times, a short house dog coat would cause them to lose body heat, because of this the dogs are inside mostly in the summer when the house temperature is nice for both dogs and people.

You might have even met some of our dogs at different community events around western Canada, as we host meet and greet events that allow the general public to come and interact with the dogs and ask questions, along with Sled dog rides.
