November Update

November started off slow and quiet. We continued with fall training and getting the summer shelters switched out for winter dog houses, along with adding a fresh layer of gravel to the enclosures.

Around the middle of November we noticed vixen was larger then she should be. upon investigating we discovered one of our helpers during the start of fall training had mistaken Vixen for Soda who is spayed. Vixen was put into the pen soda was supposed to go into, who had an intact male in it. Well brother and vixen had a 7 minute tie and the helpers figured it wouldn't amount to anything as the breeding they had witnessed have been multiple ties and all of them had lasted 20 minutes. so the just put Vixen in her correct pen and kept this little secret until it was discovered she was pregnant. Panic was an understatement as we only had a rough idea when the tie happened and not a firm due date. 

True chaos arrived Nov 22nd when Lilith went into labor with her planned litter of CED babies. When Lilith had delivered her 4th puppy, Vixen decided she needed to add the night as well. When morning light came Lilith had welcomed 9 beautiful babies and Vixen had 7 little surprises. 

The month ended with the dogs participating in the Santa Claws parade in peace river. The dogs as always strutted their stuff pulling they dryland rig though the busy streets, we followed a semitruck this year and the dogs where so incredible.
